2010 Update

Just returning from the 2010 MSC bikes launch, there are some new designs on the way and a huge discount on the Nosko bikes, also a Mini DH bike, watch this space
MSC UK are please to announce that James Stock has joined us for 2009, he picked up his new shiny F5 and promptly disapeared off to the 1st World Cup in France. Will keep you posted on his results.
Alex Bond has just sent a text in, to let us know how he's getting on in sunny Portugal, 3rd overall at the street race, well done Alex, please return to the UK and bring some of the sunshine.
Fantastic news coming from Sam Flockhart, he has won the third round of the Maxxis Cup in Cadet category, with a rear puncture, this gives Sam the overall win in the series 3 out of 3, congratulations go to Sam and his Dad for getting him out there.
April 4th and 5th saw the first round of the sold out Pearce series, being held at the ever popular Bringewood, just outside Ludlow Shropshire, MSC DH team members James Flinders and Callum Dew were entered. This was Callum's first outing on the new F5, finishing in the top 15 of the juniors. Flinders had a big off on Saturday, having what looked like Elephant Mans hand after and several gravel burns, he managed to ride through the pain on Sunday only to stack again on his 2nd race run, finishing 14th in Expert, his split time was in the top 10 overall, some good signs of things to come for the team.
Ross Anderson, newly promoted to Expert in 2009 was at the Northern DH race at Rothbury, new venue and organisers, he grabbed a second place in cat, so well done Ross.
The 2009 MSC UK DH Team has got off to a flying start at the Maxxis Cup. Some of the lucky team riders went out to round 1 and stopped over for round 2. New rider on the team for 2009 is young gun Sam Flockhart who only picked up his new F5 on the Tuesday night before catching a stupid o'clock ferry over to Portugal, where he then proceeded to destroy the Cadets in rounds 1 and 2.
Last weekend 4th and 5th April saw the first round of the British National XC series at Sherwood Pines, Nottingham, with nearly 500 riders pre entered the series is looking like it's well and truly back on track for 2009. MSC had it's first full outing of the XC team, the guy's all turned up looking ultra professional to find a full on trade pitch available to them, 3 ezeups, tea and coffee a microwave and a PS2. The very relaxed atmosphere of Saturday turned to racing on Sunday with a few nerves showing. First up the Juveniles, iCycles MSC taking first spot through 1 of the Wilcox twins, then onto Elite with Paul Robertson. First lap out and Paul picks up a slow puncture, finally manages to get it sorted and his last lap was his fastest. Then onto Experts, with Giles and Jason, both having had good off season's, both were looking strong and comfortable on their new MSC carbon bikes, both had some bad look, Giles got taken out and Jason puntured. Then last but not least Mark in Seniors, he was having a flier well up the field, then disaster struck a mechanical, the riders all seemed happy and now know where they need to be, roll on round 2.

Season round up

What a start to 2008, Ross Anderson and Martin Nairn are flying up in Scotland, but poor old Tally is crashing! Callum Dew has notched up 2 well deserved podiums in the ever competitve Youth cat, whilst James Flinders and Kieron McAvoy continue to improve on their new bikes, in the Expert category. Moving on to the old boys, Martin Crocket and Steve Parr are going well, Crocket podiums at every Pearce round, but has sat out the NPS, for some unknown reason. The F4 has been an outstanding success story worldwide for MSC and has sold out, the good news is that the F5 will be available in September. MSC UK will be reviewing its DH team and offering test rides to hopefulls. Also watchout for reviews of the Zion and Carbon Zion in future issues of MBUK.

Welcome to Msc Bikes UK
Welcome to the MSC UK news section of this website. The MSC brand has been in continual development and evolution since it was established in 1999 by Father and Son, Luis and Ferran Marias Sorribes. The UK has now been added to this growing empire, MSC bikes UK is run by Steve Parr, who also is 1 half of the duo transforming the image and structure of the UK national DH race series. In its first year MSC UK established a small DH team racing at national and regional level, in our second year this has grown to a 9 strong team, with the possibility of an endurance/XC team in 2009. MSC is a company owned and run by riders, who are continually striving to gain an edge in competition or just riding against your mates.
